Searching for SAS Practice Data Set LIBSAS.UPSIT

Where can I download the SAS Data Set LIBSAS.UPSIT which is used for practice in the SAS Studio ANOVA example video?

Are there more LIBSAS data sets that I should download and install to be able to try out SAS Studio and where can I find them?

Best Regards

Peter Andersson

Re: Searching for SAS Practice Data Set LIBSAS.UPSIT

Hi:

If you look on the free tutorial main page, you will see this statement "Note that example data is not provided. The intent is for you to practice with your data." This means that the LIBSAS data is not automatically provided. Generally, however if you search for examples in the documentation, you will find the data that was used in the tutorial.

For example, the PROC GLM code and the UPSIT data is featured in example 44.10 in the documentation for the GLM procedure, here:

http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/statug/66859/HTML/default/viewer.htm#statug_glm_examples...

Many of the statistical tutorials do use SAS documentation examples and frequently, you can go to the SUPPORT.SAS.COM web site and enter a search string such as

GLM UPSIT Example

in the search box to find all the examples that use that dataset. Usually, one of the examples will either have the DATA step code that creates the data or will have a link to the site that contains the data.

Another alternative is to look at the SASHELP datasets. There are over 200 datasets that you can use. Here’s some documentation http://support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/stat/131/sashelp.pdf  about them.
