Hi guys

sometime when I submit an ETL job created with Data Integration Studio, when the process try to append data into a SPDS table, it stops with error ERROR: Write failed. Number of observations written to disk

MPRINT(ETLS_LOADER):   proc append base = lacsel.L_GENERAL_POLICY_TRANS_LINE_ITEM data = WORK.mapped () force;

MPRINT(ETLS_LOADER):   run;

NOTE: Appending WORK.MAPPED to LACSEL.L_GENERAL_POLICY_TRANS_LINE_ITEM.

ERROR: Write failed. Number of observations written to disk is 2799808d.

ERROR: Write failed. Number of observations written to disk is 2799808d.

ERROR: Write failed. Number of observations written to disk is 2799808d.

This error is always random, and support didn't find resolution.  Have you ever meet with this error? anyone have any workaround?

Thanks

Check the disk space where your LACSEL library is stored. One possibility is it is running out of space from time to time.

You may operate under a user specific limit (ulimit on UNIX type systems). Be aware that in a workspace server, this may mean the limits imposed on the UserID that runs the spawner (and not your own limits).

Taking a look at the physical file sizes of the SPDS buckets may give you a clue.

And also check (or have checked) if some quota regimen is active on the disk(s) containing the SPDS library.
