SAS SDTM ISO8601 Formatting

Hi,

While mapping lab collection date and time to LBDTC variable in LB data, should we map the seconds part if collected at 00 seconds?

For example: Reported lab collection data is 20Jan2012 and collection time is 08:14:00. What will be LBDTC value?

Should it be LBDTC = 2012-01-20T08:14 since seconds part is 00 and is insignificant? Or 2012-01-20T08:14:00 as reported?

Thanks,

Hi Chandra,

This mainly depends in the eCRF which is been used to collect the data.

If the eCRF has feilds only till minutes and no seconds, the it should be mapped as  2012-01-20T08:14. for this data if its mapped along with seconds then we are adding a wrong information to the mapped data, which we shouldn't be doing.

If the eCRF has feilds for seconds and then the value entered is 00 the you should be mapping it as 2012-01-20T08:14:00.
