I want to make a project using sas and php....need suggestions for project ideas ?? Name of projects in which I can use both sas and php ??
Are you sure it's SAS - Statistical Analysis Software not SaaS - Software as a Service?
Can you explain more about your project requirements?
Yes SAS (Statistical Analysis System) ..actually i just need ideas on projects to make a project with SAS and PHP.
One thought I liked from a few years ago...get some data using web/forms/php, and send that to a SAS program to run some number crunching and get some results...return them via web and php.
Tom
Did you work on that then ??
No, it was just presented as a theoretical example at a presentation, but I thought it was a nice combination of interactive web methods and the power of SAS analytics.
Tom Kari Sir thank you for your idea.
With SAS/Intrnet that approach would be a good candidate is the web-part was fully generated in SAS. Imagine: Web web server -CGI <-> load manager <-> app server <-> SAS . It is now more part of the Stored process Server but still there. SAS(R) 9.4 Stored Processes: Developer's Guide, Third Edition
Another could be proc soap SAS(R) 9.4 Functions and CALL Routines: Reference, Fourth Edition interaction with an extern website using php
Jaap Karman Sir thank you for your guidance.
SAS(R) 9.4 Stored Processes: Developer's Guide, Third Edition see the note on _webout
As far I see php is an alternative for html you could also review this person notes http://support.sas.com/resources/papers/proceedings14/1738-2014.pdf (he must have more of those)
