SAS Meetings + Unix Scripting

Hello,

1. What are the common things generally they discuss in technical meetings as a SAS programmer + unix ??

2. Which type of parameters and facilities we needs in our computer for Unix Scripting ?? or What are the things we should know before starting work on Unix Scripting ??

Thank you

Ranny

A Unix script is just a text file with one or more Unix commands listed.  Ask your new colleagues for examples.  Take especial note of any lines which mention sas.

Typically you will access a Unix server from your desktop through software such as a terminal emulator.  Ask your new colleagues to show you.

You may also have SAS loaded on your desktop.  Ask someone how to connect to a SAS session on Unix from your Windows session, if you have it.

As to what is discussed at technical meetings that varies a lot.  In my experience it will be about project timelines, resourcing, and allocation of tasks.  No-one should expect you to contribute technical insights on your first day.
