Hi,

Looking for anyone who is still running SAS 8.2 on the Solaris10 platform. For various reason I have to try to make this work but so far I've had limited success.

Base install is done and SAS starts however it generates an access violation on startup and doesn't close on exit. SAS version is 8.2 TS2M0.

Solaris is  5.10 Generic_147440-01 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-V240.

I'm still in the process of digging for any potentially applicable hot fixes but any pointers would be appreciated. I'm not that strong on the history of the dark ages. 🙂

Cheers

Joe

This last error is the X server being killed as a way to get out of SAS. It still requires killing the base sas process from unix.

Some archaeology led me to hot fix bundle 82bx09s2 which seems to have gone some way to making things work.

I'm still getting a font warning at startup but if I ignore it SAS does at least seem to behave normally otherwise.

Next task is to throw some code at it....
