What  pointer stopped working (data set processing point= ?)  SAS 9.2 AIX  I suppose.

datset-types / source ?  No error/warning? The dataset is physical consistent?

No simultenaous read/writes? As your real OS is lacking real locking enqueing that a real OS has. (can be bypassed at excp level).

The last one because I have seen hardware failures (windows) and dropped/lost disks in a filesystem (your real OS).

Probably to do with the spam mail which seems to be coming in, i read in one of the posts or thoughts that they had stopped points for the moment to try to overcome this issue.

Otherwise, perhaps you have upset the SQL overlord?

Hi there RW9 is correct - we had to turn of the point counter as one measure that allows us to moderate new users (spam) . I really apologize as I know this is important - we were intending to return the community to normal Monday - but even last night we had over 50 posts of spam (luckily they came through the moderation tool so that you will not see them).. Hopefully we can rectify this soon. Thanks so much for your understanding..
