PARAMETRIZING THE PATH NAME IN SAS DI...! Please Guide me in SAS-DI..!

Forlder Path :

data/env1/new/src

data/env1/new/tgt

Now, here data/env1/new/ is the common Path , so i want to Paramterize this Path name. How do i implement it in SAS-DI.

In Informatica, We did data/env1/new/=$$PMRootDir

In SAS, How to implement ?? As we are New to SAS-DI, unable to explore much needed guidance asap....!!

Thanks,

There are tons of ways to this.

One of simplest (maybe not the best from a administrational view) is to use a macro variable.

There are as well tons of ways to assign it a value, the easiest is to set it in the appserver_autoexec_usermods.sas file in SASApp directory.

If your not familiar with the concept of macro variables, it might be a bit shaky for you to implement this. Nevertheless, here goes:

In the appserver_autoexec_usermods.sas:

%let PMRootDir = /data/env1/new;

In the Externa Fileobject - File Location

&PMRootDir/src/YourFileName.txt
Be sure to check the option "Double quotes around file name"
