Yes, you need to replace the txt file in some places and restart LSF services, the followinf SAS Note could help you:

Re: LSF Licence update in windows server

I got caught out by this problem too. When SAS sent the new LSF licence they did not include instructions on what to do with it, but did have instructions for the SAS software licences. Is this what happened?

Your new LSF licence file needs to be copied into two directory locations where you will find a file called licence.dat. Rename your old one to say licence.old and your new one to licence.dat.

1) ....\SAS\ThirdParty\LSFShare\conf

2) .....\SAS\ThirdParty\Platform Process Manager\conf

You will then need to start the LSF services to check the new licence is working.

Re: LSF Licence update in windows server

In Windows Control Panel for your server services:

LSF cluster name LIM

·      LSF cluster name RES

·      LSF cluster name SBD

·      Process Manager
