I do this by using ODS statements

ODS LISTING CLOSE;

ODS TAGSETS.EXCELXP FILE=MYXLS1 RS=NONE STYLE=SEASIDE

OPTIONS(SUPPRESS_BYLINES='YES' SHEET_INTERVAL='BYGROUP'

         FROZEN_HEADERS='1' );

  PROC PRINT DATA=TOT NOOBS U;

   by k_prod;

  RUN;

ODS TAGSETS.EXCELXP CLOSE;

ODS LISTING ;

Hi:

In addition to what Jajeuk coded - you need to download the resulting file from the mainframe to the target system that has

Excel on it before you can view it as a spreadsheet.  Since our Mainframe (the USS side) was in ASCII, we had to do a binary

download so the characters were not translated.

Also remember that the file created on the mainframe (from the EXCELXP tagset) is a XML file, not native Excel format so once it

is on the target system, you may want to run a VOB script to convert it to a native Excel file.
