How to double click and open code in regular SAS 9.3?

Dear all,

This has been bother me for a while. Every time I double clicked my code, it will be opened in Enterprise 4.3 instead of regular SAS base. I have to right click and select "Open with SAS 9.3". Is there any way to change the default setting to "Open with SAS 9.3"? I don't want to use Enterprise Guide 4.3. I thought it should be a quick fix. But couldn't figure out how. Your help is much appreciated. I have Windows XP.

Thanks,

L

If you right click on the SAS program you want to open, select the "Open With" option, then click on "Choose program" and a new window should open that allows you to select the program.Select SAS.

Make sure the "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file" is checked.

That should do it.

I actually don't think this works.

What this does, it runs the code using the SAS....

Thanks, Haikuo! I tried: Start ► Programs ► SAS ► Utilities ► Manage SAS File Types.

But get this error msg.untitled.JPG

I think probably because I don't have administrator rights on my computer?

That's right, no admin rights.

Your support group can probably grant you admin rights long enough to change the default behavior (or do it for you).
