How to copy the contents of SAS log to a text file or word doc?

Hi All,

Is there a way to copy the sas log from SAS EG to a text file or word doc.
With proc printto I was only able to redirect the log to a file but i donot want to redirect the log to a file
rather i would like to copy the contents of log to a file.

Your inputs will be of great help.

Thank You!!

You can export the log from EG to a file. The SAS log is, per definition, a text file. With EG the file is just streamed back from the server session to the client.

Since the workspace server may reside on a remote host, it can't have access to your clipboard. All interaction needs to be done through EG.

Nope, you can only redirect log output.  Not sure why you would want two outputs, you either want the interactive functionality which is the interactive log, or you want to save log as a file.

ALTLOG?

But this requires modifying the config file so not a robust solution. It seems like you can also set it from the command line? Not sure.
