How does the code execute in back end in Proc SQl???

In data step we have input buffer and pdv. what about in Proc SQL. Can any one let me know?

There will be no PDV

With a remote DBMS you could get into the generated SQL sqltrace

Local you could see some of buffers of the SAS-datasets.

Are you connected to a SQL Server, if so what type? Or are you working on a desktop with native sas datasets?
