I really like the RStudio IDE, but only know how to use it with R. I'm wondering if I can run SAS code from it. I googled a little but didn't find anything.
Have you tried the new SAS Studio 3.1 that is available with the latest release of SAS 9.4?
No. You cannot run SAS from R. However, you can call R from SAS.
You can actually run SAS fro RStudio, however, it is probably far more trouble than it would be worth.
RstudioIDE (IDE Integrated Development Enviroment).. using SAS I would prefer the SAS IDE that is Eguide or EMinde.
SAS nows the best what is in SAS why would you ignore that all and do something different?
For R I have seen I note at them actually based on batch-scritping to SAS and reading the result. Would agree with FreidEgg on that.
I should have clarified. Obviously any language that can call out to the operating system can launch a SAS process.
Very helpful responses. Thanks!
