Hi,

I am trying to connect Orracle database from SAS server(SAS Management console).

Previously we had odbc connectivity to connect to oracle database from SAS.Now We have bought SAS/Access license to oracle .

We have installed the oracle driver in SAS.

I created a new server in SAS Management console and a created a library for that.

I have listed the Service name (available in tnsnames.ora) while creating a library in the path column.

While registering the table , I am getting the following error

ORA-12154:TNS:could not resolve the connect identifier specified

I can able to view SASORA and SASIOORA file in my installation folder.

Kindly help us if any new client needs to be installed in SAS server.

I believe SAS Access for Oracle still requires the oracle runtime libraries to be installed on the base sas server.
