Error updating table metadata on SAS 9.4

When running the below proc I get an error saying "ERROR: Invalid option name =."

proc metalib;

        omr(library='libX' repname='Foundation');

        select ('tableY');

        report;

    run;

The library is of sqloledb, and with it I can register and browse a table successfully. The error only occurs when I update the table metadata, whether I do it by SAS Base code or by the GUI in Data Integration Studio/Management Console.

Does anyone have an idea of what causes this?

Does your database contain special character/s?

Re: Error updating table metadata on SAS 9.4

Looks like the OLEDB connection string is the issue.

One connection string works for updating the table metadata, another format on the connection string means i can browse the table.

I cant seem to specify a oledb string that handle both cases...  I noticed in DI studio 4.9 that quotes are added around the data source when creating a new server object. This is not the case in DI Studio 4.8.

Thank you! giving the server an alias without special character resolved the issue
