My source file for eg.

DOB

28/10/1988

25/10/1988

I am loading into target table.I am getting the same o/p in SAS DI.(Right click on target table in sas DI job and open).

But,When I check in oracle database,Its showing the o/p as

DOB

01-Jan-1960

01-Jan-1960.

What we we need to do?Pls help

Is the target Oracle?

It seems that your source data is in date format, and the target is datetime. Check the data type in oracle, the SAS format applied to it. There are also some options that handles date/datetime conversions between SAS and oracle.

Yes,my target in oracle database.

My source s in flat file and extracted as character datatype in sas DI and

i checked my target column (DOB) is in date format in oracle.

I have tried some fncs ,its not workin..

Make sure that you have date. format on the last table (and on the target table) for DOB.

If that does not help, try to play with the dbtype= data set option.

You can also try the SASDATEFMT Data set option:
