HI All,

Have a couple general questions related to the SAS/ASSIST module:

Does the SAS/ASSIST module generate code that is dependent on having that module installed? In other words, can code generated from SAS/ASSIST be run without having SAS/ASSIST installed?  It's my understanding that SAS/ASSIST is simply a front end for SAS code and (non automated) plot generation, am I correct in this assumption?

Thanks

If you generate and save code from Proc ASSIST then then the SAS installation that uses the code will need any of the modules used to be loaded.

It has been awhile since I had SAS/Assist but the code is just that - code. If it calls a procedure in the ETS module and your try to run it on another install that does not have the ETS module available you will get the exact same error messages as if you typed the code yourself. Just remember to save the code...

SAS/Assist however would not be needed in the other install.
