Hi ,

What are the ways to migrate an SPD dataset from AIX to Linux.  PROC MIGRATE doesn't support this.

Thanks,

Vijay.

PROC CPORT/CIMPORT.
PROC UPLOAD/DOWNLOAD (if you have SAS/CONNECT licensed on both ends).

There's also cross-environment compatibility, new in SAS 9.4M5 for SPD Engine (SPDE).

If you can access the SPD Engine data set where it currently is on AIX, then you can leave it in that location, and cross-environment data access (CEDA) enables Read access. CEDA has some important restrictions. See Accessing SPD Engine Files on Another Host.

Other caveats: You can't physically move data with CEDA. And you should never move SPDE data with OS commands. So if you need to move it, then use one of the PROCs mentioned above or PROC COPY.
