Cook's Distance ~ labeling points

Hi,

I'm applying standard linear regression and looking at useful diagnostic plots, one of these being Cook's to ID outliers.

I'm left with a basic question:

Once I have identified there is an outlier with mega-influence over the line equation, I don't have an easy way to tie this outlier back to where it is in my original data set.

Is there a way to label points within my cook's distance plot so I can hover over a point and see what it corresponds to? I'm using the regression wizard so I'm not operating within a problem node as of yet, but I could get the same output via sql.

Any thoughts on where I'm at? I'll be more specific if needed.

NS

You can use the ID statement in PROC REG to specify a variable whose label will be used to identify influential observations. See the REG doc for Influence Statistics.

I think you need to make a new picture by SAS/GRAPH .

post it at SAS/GRAPH and ODS Graphics
