Hi All,

Greetings.

We need to pull data from SQL Server into SASGRID. SQL Server 2012 is in local windows environment. SASGRID is in server location.

We use local SAS Editor and execute code remotely using RSUBMIT-ENDRSUBMIT.

When I use code below I am getting error. Please check.

However, with same code I am able to connect to sql in local sas (when I run with out Rsubmit - Endrsubmit).

rsubmit;

libname test odbc schema="XXXX" noprompt="server=XXXX;

DRIVER=SQL Server;Trusted_Connection=yes;database=XXX";

endrsubmit;

ERROR: CLI error trying to establish connection: [iODBC][Driver Manager]SQL Server: cannot open

       shared object file: No such file or directory : [iODBC][Driver Manager]Specified driver could

       not be loaded

Thanks,

Hari.

So you are using SAS/CONNECT rsubmit to deploy jobs on the grid?

Either way, I suspect that each Grid node needs the ability to connect to that SQL Server instance. It's convenient if you have a shared location for configuration files so you don't have to update this on each node.

Hi Linush,

Thanks.

Yes, I use SAS/CONNECT.

So finally, what should I do to connect to SQl Server ? Sorry, I did n't get you completely.

You need to follow the post installation configuration steps for SAS/ACCESS, and that needs to be done for all nodes (or just once if installed on a shared location). See the doc for your Grid host environment.
