I'm new to SAS and programming in general. I'd like to create a new variable by aggregating three variables into a mean scale. The three variables I want to combine are measured on a three point likert scale. I've been trying to figure out how to do this and I'm lost. I feel like it should be simple. I would appreciate any help on coding. Thank you!
If your three variables are named a, b and c, then this works:
Y = mean(a,b,c);
