I have no idea about your question, or that question?  Any kind of context?

this is a sas tech questions, maybe related to normal distribution

Hi,

If a variable is normaly distributed then we expect

68% of the observations fall within mean+/-1.standard deviation

95% of the observations fall within mean+/-2.standard deviation

99% of the observations fall within mean+/-3.standard deviation

Could I ask then in future that questions be elaborated on providing where possible, examples of what is needed.  If indeed this is to do with normal distribution then the appropriate sub forum would be the statistics section, this is posted in Base SAS Programming with no context.

@RW9, I didn't understand the question either. But I wouldn't be a member of this forum if there had been an entry exam or stringent moderation when I joined.
