Hello All,

I have a column( Alert_Key) which needs to be populated as a sequence generator .The detail requirement is below.

1) If a key is generated then it should not be generated again.

2) Jobs are running parallel and each job will load key into the alert_key column.

3) Before loading the key ,it needs to checked if the key is there ,if so it should generate a unique key.

Many Thanks In Advance,

Sandeep.o

Hi

How about using the UUIDGEN() function. This will ensure, that you lways get a unique id.
