please help me out in solving below mentioned error. How can rectify this error. Even i tried ny mentioning RECFM=v and LRECL=256 in the statment.Still didn't work out. Please help out.

The only things I can suggest from what you show is to first verify that the file is actually in the folder and then open the file with a text editor such as Notepad and examine the contents.

 

If there isn't any actual content in the file then that's the problem to fix.

Your code contains next line:

   infile '...' dlm='09'x dsd firstobs=2;

Are you sure that the delimiter in the file is the tab character ('09'x) ?

 

Then you have:

  input customer $10 month $ type amount;

Do you realy need the dsd option ? Is any variable may be missing having two tabs in sequence ?
