If you have SAS 9.4 you can read directly from a ZIP file - a text file. I don't know if  this extends to XLSX files.

The second link shows you how to read a text directly from ZIP, the first shows you how to extract the zip file using FILENAME ZIP methods. Again, these are only good if you have SAS 9.4+.

I am sorry, I have never heard of such a thing, and a google on that term does not return anything.  In SAS you can't directly read from a ZIP file (if that is what you mean) you need to unzip it then read whatever file format is contained within it.  If your talking about transport files, then you would want to look at proc cport/cimport, and libname XPT.

If its neither of those, please clarify the request.
