Hi,

When trying to use h.clear(); for hash calculations, I get message

ERROR: Unknown method CLEAR for DATASTEP.HASH at line 35 column 3.
ERROR: Could not find method.

Does it mean that with SAS 9.1.3. I can't use this method? Is there some alternative to that?

Thanks,
Ieva

Hi leva,

You could declare a hiter object and use it with the remove method of the hash object.
Hope this helps,
Vasile

Hi.
For each data step iteration, the statement ' declare hash ' will re-build hash table and
overwrite the last hash table if you do not conditionally execute ' declare hash' statement.
