Thanks for your quick response draycut.

as of now I have only sas script with me, which is given by our SAS team. and this script will run in some other machine.I am not aware of the machine. I have only hostname ,port & user credential to connect to that machine.

I need to develop a java application to get the output of the given sas script.

Re: executing sas script from java application

You need to ask your SAS team: "what is the SAS command line I need to execute to run the SAS script in batch mode". Once they provide that you simply embed that in your Java application. Running a SAS application in batch is just like running an OS command. You will of course have to logon to the SAS server first to run the job.

Dealing with the output will be more complicated. What type of output is the script producing? Text, HTML or something else?

Is there any JAVA code snippet available to connect to SAS servers and executing the sas script?
