I on windows server 2003
I'm using
%let outpt = \Research\
libname outpt "&outpt";
to output a sas dataset to a file server.
however when I try to open the dataset from windows explorer I get a warning 1 lines longer than 32760 charactgers were truncated
how can I fix this?
You are missing a semicolon. i.e.
%let outpt = \Research\;
nope...that was a copy paste error. No error messages are generated when creating the dataset.
I think I solved it....somehow the file associations got messed up.
I went into properties for one of the data files and set it to 'The SAS System for windows'. That fixed it for windows explorer but I still have a problem in SAS. If I open inside SAS using the folder icon at the top and browse to where the files are located I still get the error.
If I write a quick program and use the libname I am able to open the dataset from the library
