When we are running macros in the batch process, we encountered unidentified I/O failure in one of data step, but overal, the table created in the this step has correct number of obvervations. Do you know what could be the reason for this type of error? and how to get around it?

We have turned on verbose logging and is there anyway to trace this kind of error?

If you have the exact wording of the error message, you can search the support.sas.com knowledgebase.
