I'm unable to insert rows containing special charachters like "à","ö", etc. into a MySQL table.
Example code:
proc sql;
insert into s_dmp.airline (airline_nm) values ('testö');
quit;
ERROR:
CLI execute error: [MySQL][ODBC 5.3(w) Driver][mysqld-5.7.18-log]Incorrect string value: '\xF6' for column 'airline_nm' at row 1
Any ideas on how to solve above error without translating the string variable?
Make sure that all your environments are either UTF-enabled or use wlatin character sets.
