I've just updgrated to office 365 and I'm running a monthly program that involves connecting to an access database but I'm getting the following error:
ERROR: CLI error trying to establish connection: Specified driver could not be loaded due to
system error 126: The specified module could not be found. (Microsoft Access Driver
(*.mdb, *.accdb), C:\PROGRA~1\COMMON~1\MICROS~1\OFFICE15\ACEODBC.DLL).
ERROR: Error in the LIBNAME statement.
The line of code worked fine on Office 2013. I just used the following libname code:
libname db_1 pcfiles path='S:\Commercial\Fleet\Combined Rater\Database\Quote DB Sep 17\Quote DB.accdb' DBPASSWORD="12345";
Any help would be appreciated.
Matthew
Hi Brophymh,
This does not appear to be a SAS issue. It seems like ODBC is not set properly. Have you tried opening that Access DB thru ODBC from anything else than SAS?
When you say you have Office 365, are you using the local installed version or the cloud version?
Thanks,
You may want to look at this link: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2874601/can-t-use-the-access-odbc-driver-or-oledb-provider-...
They recommend installing the following: Microsoft Access Database Engine 2016 Redistributable
Thanks,
