When I'm in the Program Window I used the arrow keys at the bottom right of the keyboard to scroll around the screen.  At some point in the past I remember this working well for me.  But now it scrolls too slowly when I use the arrow keys.  I don't necesaarily just mean up and down but also left and right.

What controls the rate at which the cursor on the screen moves when you hold down those arrow keys?  I'm assuming there is a setting somewhere that you can use to slow that down or speed it up.

I don't think there is anything in SAS that controls the repeat rate of keys.  If you're on some version of Windows, you can change that by going to the Control Panel->keyboard.  There you can set the speed.

Yes, that turns out to be it, and then within "keyboard" you can control the "repeat rate" slider.  Thanks.  Unfortunately for me it was already at maximum speed so I guess I can't speed it up further.

Try Tools>Options>Preferences>Advanced Tab - this is assuming you're on SAS 9.2 on Windows, may differ in other versions.

EDIT: This appears to control output and log, not sure about editor windows.

Of course, alternatively, there are numerous keystrokes that can speed up desired movements.  Take a look at: http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/hostwin/63285/HTML/default/viewer.htm#eeshortcuts.htm

I hadn't seen this before and it looks useful.  Thanks.
