Hi,

Instead of right clicking and deploying jobs one by one, Is it possible to create a code similar to what the scheduling option in SAS DI Studio does?

Thanks!

Please be more extensive in your problem description.
Where are you (application), what feature is needed, and exactly what do you mean by "Scheduling option"?

If you are talking about EG then use Tools/Schedule Project

I'm using DI Studio 4.3. If I right click on a job there's an option Scheduling option there which makes you create the .sas code for that job and put into the deployment directory you specified. I'm just curious if it's a sas code that executes that option.

Thanks!

Theoretically yes, but I think it would involve querying the metadata server remotely.

Anyway you do not need to deploy jobs one by one from DI Studio, but you probably already know that.

Hi Daniel,

Do you have any references on how to query the metadata server?

Many Thanks!

A good start would be starting with the Open Metadata Interface:
https://support.sas.com/documentation/onlinedoc/91pdf/sasdoc_913/omd_gs_9971.pdf

I have done some cool things (mainly building some stats about metadata objects) by using the interface, but what you are trying to do is completely different.
Rebuilding the code directly from the Metadata Server (unless there is some pretty straightforward method for doing that!) could represent quite an effort.

Cheers from Portugal.

Thanks Daniel I'll go over the document!
