SAS to Oracle DB connectivity issue

Hi All,

I assigned library name for SQL DB as shown below:

Libname SQLDB ORACLE user=ABCD pass=1234 Path="SCHEMA_123" insertbuff=50000 dbcommit=50000 schema=1234

If i run any SQL part of code to create table in that library, connectivity is getting diconnected. so abnormal termination happens with limited observation.

so i removed insertbuff=50000 and processed,

Libname SQLDB ORACLE user=ABCD pass=1234 Path="SCHEMA_123" dbcommit=50000 schema=1234

now connectivity is good but computation time is more than a day its taking to create table.

Please suggest to compute efficiently.

Thanks,

Ganesh K

Re: SAS to Oracle DB connectivity issue

May be try a lower value for insertbuff to figure out the optimal value for your site.

From the documentation:

Re: SAS to Oracle DB connectivity issue

Please post the SQL code you are using to create the Oracle table and tell us how many rows of data you are loading. If your row count is large then you may want to consider bulk loading:
