Hi All,

Just wondering if there is an easy way of importing keyword abbreviations into SAS Studio?

I have a lot of them that I find very useful...

Many thanks

G

Hi G,

I am going to move this question over to our SAS Macro Facility, Data Step and SAS Language Elements support community so that an expert can respond.

Thanks

Hello Jennifer,

I can't find the response to this question.  I teach with SAS and *really* want the keyboard macro functionality.

Hi,

I haven't used SAS Studio yet, but looking in this doc:

http://support.sas.com/documentation/cdl/en/webeditorug/66932/PDF/default/webeditorug.pdf

I don't see any mention of keyboard macros.  Did notice a new "code snippet" feature which looked similar, but it doesn't look like you can assign a keyboard shortcut.

I was very happy when I realized that EG uses the same keyboard macros that folks have known and loved in DM SAS for many years.

Hopefully if SAS Studio doesn't have it yet, they will add it soon.  Customized keyboard shortcuts are an important tool for programmers....

Hi:

Keyboard "macros" are different from SAS Macro processing. They are a way to directly interface with the Editor prior to code submission. I do not know whether keyboard macros (like EG and Display Manager) have been implemented in SAS Studio.
