Has anybody ever read a .MEM file into SAS?. Any tips and trick would be appreciated.

And what is this .mem file?  The file extension is merely an indicator to the OS of what file type it is, however you could name it anything.  So what is this mem file, where did you get it from, what do you use to open it?

Can you right click on it and open in Notepad, does it look like a plain text file with data in?

Really just guessing here as you have given us no information at all.  From a google search .mem is associated with:

FoxPro Variable Files

Whatever that is.  A quick google again shows that these file types are binary proprietary, so no, there would be no way to directly import them into SAS (unless you want to read byte by byte and write a decoder for it).  Go back to source and get plain text files.
