Hi,

As requested I have started a new thread

Does anyone out there happen to know the syntax of adding password protection to this piece of code?

footnote j=1 '<input onclick="document.execCommand(' 'SAVEAS '',true,

' ' c:\\temp\\test.xls' ')" value=Download to Excel"

type="button">';

It is written to be used in the footnote of a web output page - following the opening of the report as excel - hense the absence of the sheet name.  It looks like it should be possible.

Apologies for any extra apostrophies.

footnote j=1 '<input onclick="document.execCommand(' 'SAVEAS '',true,

' ' c:\\temp\\test.xls' ')" value=Download to Excel"

type="button">';

While I am on the subject, if anyone knows the syntax of using this from a button without opening the report first, it would be very useful.
