This entire question refers to using the INFOMAP libname in Base SAS code.

Is there an easy way to pass a value for a prompt to an information map that uses prompts?  Additionally, is there an easy way to pass prompts to a stored process that is an underlying part of an information map?

I have found using the "Add as a Code Template" on a import of an information map in EG that there is a SET statement option named "promptvalues".  EG uses a workaround where it creates a temporary external file with the necessary object definitions using a hard-coded DATALINES statement.  This "promptvalues" option then references that external file.  This appears to be the same for prompts associated with an information map, and prompts associated with an underlying stored process for an information map.  I have been able to edit this code in a few ways, and get it to work, but it seems that there should be an easier way to do this.

Does anyone know of documentation on the "promptvalues" option in the set statement?

I am using SAS 9.3 TS1M1 on a 64-bit Unix server, and Enterprise Guide 5.1.

Thanks!
