Does anyone know if SAS plans to add Excel/Access 2007 to the list of Proc Import/Export options? I know you can "save as" in 2003 format, but it would be easier to work directly with the 2007 files.

Hi:
These Tech Support notes seem to point to a direction:

http://support.sas.com/kb/4/484.html says that EG won't support .xlsx for import
http://support.sas.com/kb/19/774.html says you can use SAS/Access for OLE-DB

Hello,

Proc import will support the .xlsx format with the SAS 9.2 Release 2.
I got this information from the SAS technical support (Belgium). It's foreseen for beginning of 2009.

Regards,
Florent
