Hi All,

I have a question. Please help as soon as possible.

Suppose i have a dataset Which having variables like V, V1. V2, V3,V4,V5.V6,V7 and so on in order. I want to create a new Variable in such a way that if V is not missing then New varible will have the value of V. If V is missing then  New varible will have the value of V1. If V and V1 are both missing then New varible will have the value of V2. If V, V1 and V2 are missing then New varible will have the value of V3  and so on.

Can any one suggest , How should we proceed.

Thanks in Advance.
