Hi ,
Can someone help me out with expected basic code level changes , while running a SAS code in 9.3 and 9.4.
example: Options yearcutoff; (Changed from 1920 to 1926).
Thanks
For changes in defaults in Base SAS code, see the SAS 9.4 Guide to Software Updates and select "Product Details and Requirements" and then "Base SAS."
There are many new features in SAS 9.4 compared to earlier releases. These are all documented so you should start reading. Generally most SAS manuals will have a "What's New" section at the start. Here is a useful link to get you going (What's New in Base SAS 9.4):
If you have a question about a specific new feature or change, just ask.
Also what is the context of your question - are you planning to migrate to SAS 9.4 for example? If this is the case then please say so. The more context you provide the better the answers we can give. We may be knowledgeable but we aren't mind readers!
SAS syntax shouldn't change between releases.
Changing the default options value must also be rare, your example is not real, right?
I think you should presume all current logic will be the same, and if you are migrating, do tests - compare 93 and 9.4 output.
For changes in defaults in Base SAS code, see the SAS 9.4 Guide to Software Updates and select "Product Details and Requirements" and then "Base SAS."
