Importing Data from Excel

How do I import an excel file into mainframe SAS?

This is the type of SAS I'm using:

//JS001   EXEC SAS,COND=(0,NE),WORK='90000,45000',
//    PARM=('SYSPARM=&TODAY NONUMBER SORT=4870 SORTPGM=BEST'
//    'MEMSIZE=0 SORTSIZE=MAX SORTWKNO=6 ERRORS=1')
//CLAIM1 DD DSN=FMCSS.CLMEMGUR.T3.JAN0114.SASS,DISP=SHR
//CLAIM2 DD DSN=xxxxxx.CLAIM2B.ERUC.SASS,
//*DISP=(,CATLG,KEEP),UNIT=CART,VOL=(,,,60)
// DISP=OLD
//MART   DD DSN=xxxxxx.CLMART.ERUC.SASS,
//*DISP=(,CATLG,KEEP),UNIT=CART,VOL=(,,,40)
// DISP=OLD
//SYSIN  DD  *

Re: Importing Data from Excel

Save from Excel to a text file (csv), copy that to the mainframe, and read with a data step.

Just Base SAS needed (no ACCESS to PC Files), and you keep control over the process. Using an Excel file is just gambling without the prospect of winning.
