hi, doubts about 'infile'
when im importing a string, for example, with length 10 and it starts with a space
" ricardo"
i'd like to import that space too but im not getting it.....is it possible?
after importing it, it brings me only 7 characters and delete those spaces....
thanks !!!!
Use the $char informat on your input statement instead of $. If your string is 10 long then use $char10. as your informat. $char retains leading blanks but $ does not.
I'll try it tomorrow at work.... thanks so much
anyway, I took a print to explain it better
