Dear,
From my supplementary data, I need to create datasets for each 'QNAM' to merge with another dataset by id and seq..
Please help. my code is lenghty. There are more than 15 qnam values in my data. Thank you.
data
id idvarval (character form) qnam qval
1 1 act1 one
1 1 act2 one
1 1 act3 one
1 2 act1 one
1 2 act2 one
1 3 act3 one
2 1 act1 one
2 1 act2 one
2 1 act3 one
my code;
step1
data data1 data2 data3;
set suppdv (keep=usubjid idvarval qnam qval);
if qnam='act1' then output data1;
if qnam='act2' then output data2;
if qnam='act3' then output data3;
run;
step2
data data11;
set data1;
seq=input(idvarval,2.);
rename qval=act1;
run;
i am going to repeat STEP2 for all datasets to merge with my main dataset.
main data
id seq
1 1
1 2
2 1
output needed;
id seq (numeric form) act1 act2 act3
1 1 one one one 1 2 one one
1 3 one
2 1 one one one
