Hello:

 

I found number format is different in the column of "Pval".   One is 1E-6 and the other one is 0.00001.  I used format best8.6, I found it still shows 1E-6.   If I would like to get all of numbers format in the "0.000001", please advice how to approach.   Thanks.

 

data want;

set have;

format Pval best 8.6;

run;

You should review how formats are specified, what the portion means after the decimal point especially and the concept of the width. This is all available in the documentation.
