Getting Error while reading MS ACCESS db in sas enterprise guide

[ Edited ]

I have MS ACCESS file with .accdb extension. It has three tables. I am trying to read one of the tables but getting error while reading it. I tried import wizard in enterprise guide. It’s working perfectly.

When I am trying to use proc import or tried reading using libname statement I am getting error.

My file is in UNIX server.

PROC IMPORT OUT= WORK.abc1

     DATATABLE= "temp"

     DBMS=ACCESSCS REPLACE;

     DATABASE="/users/ind/user1/temptable.accdb";

     server="abd.sas";

     port= 22;

     SCANMEMO=YES;

     USEDATE=NO;

     SCANTIME=YES;

run;

ERROR: A socket routine returned error: An unexpected error has occurred. Error number is 0.

ERROR: Failed to connect to the Server:

Hi mate,

Check Connection is refused and socket errors occur when you are using the SAS® PC Files Server and

Error Allocating CLI Environment and Socket Errors when using the PC File Server.

One question only

Does your company uses firewalls or stuff like that ?

In this case, the system administrator must make a port available for the SAS PC Files Server.

This might help

Thanks.

My SAS server is grid server. I came to know that I can not import the access db ditectly to SAS GRID server. I am able import it in PC/BASE SAS using proc import and libname statement.
