Hello All,

 

I want to Know , how to find missing values in Varible data of any Data set.

 

Below is an example OF DATASET

 

ID        Name     Gender

101      RaM       mALE

.           tONY      mALE

103       .             fEMALE

Ok. So what do you want as an output? 

 

Missing values for character variables are spaces and a period for numeric. You can also look into the missing function. 

The docs are pretty clear on missing values.

Try this...

 

data want;
input id name $ gender $;
if missing(id) then Miss_id="Yes Id missing";
if missing(name) then Miss_name="Yes name missing";
if missing(gender) then Miss_gender="Yes gender missing";

cards;
