Hi , i was trying to importing excel file from server, after running the below code - i got an Error message  

'ERROR: Failed to connect to the Server: \\11.12.10.122

 

code:

PROC IMPORT DBMS=EXCELCS OUT=WORK.demo
DATAFILE="mydrive:\\11.12.10.122\BM SAS Excel \Client_2017_06_29_040011.xlsx";
server= '\\11.12.10.122\BM SAS Excel \';
PORT= 7156;
SHEET='ClientAccountnotComplete';
RUN;

 

Error Message:

 

ERROR: Failed to connect to the Server: \\11.12.10.122\BM SAS Excel \.

 

please help me to fix this error.

I guess you want to connect to a PC Files server?

For server, supply just the hostname or the IP address, but not a path.

For datafile, supply the path to the file, without the server name or protocol.
