I am trying to perform the following Excel function in a SAS data step

=0.3751*(31640/5/60)^-0.4988

But SAS doesn't like the following part of the calculation when I try to duplpicate

'^-0.4988'

Any ideas of how I can duplicate the calculation?

Thanks

Forgot to say that the result from the Excel based calculation is

1,162.12

Exponential calculation is performed in SAS using double asterisks (**).
But I am having trouble getting your result. Both in Excel and SAS I'm getting 0.036729684...?
